Simple Life Together Video Tutorials

You know we love to talk organizing and tech on the show, but sometimes just “hearing” about a topic on the show isn’t quite as effective as “seeing” something in action. I guess that’s why so many of you asked us to do some video tutorials to help you really grasp tech and organizing topics. So, since you asked, we decided to give a shot!  Here are our goals for our video tutorials:

  • Cover interesting topics that you can actually use to simplify your life
  • Do our best to break down these subjects so they are easy to understand
  • Try to make the videos interesting with real examples
  • Produce professional videos that get the job done, but don’t get caught up in trying to make it look perfect. Perfect takes WAY too long…and it’s just not “simple”

Google Drive Tutorial

This tutorial is just over an hour long and focuses on all the fundamentals of how to use Google Drive for creating, sharing, and storing  documents using Google’s free, full-fledged office suite. In this 1 hour+ windshield tour of Google Drive, you’ll learn how to create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, and even forms and surveys! (The forms and surveys are REALLY cool!).

If it REALLY helps,  feel free to throw in a Danish, too! Thanks so much!

I compiles some notes from many of my initial attempts to build my first few website. Geez, the learning curve for me was like a hockey stick! So, I put together this guide to help others as they start their own side gig.

Let’s face it, just like all people are not inherently into simplicity, many of those who are probably wouldn’t consider themselves “techies.”  But in today’s world, technology plays a major role in the success of your lifestyle business.  Tech stuff is probably one of those things you’ve been telling yourself you need to get better at.  The problem is, a lot of it seems so confusing and complicated.  Besides, you’re busy and can’t handle it all, right?  Well, this guide might be exactly what you need! I hope it helps! I know it will save you tons of time!

  1. We “accidentally” vacationed in East Aurora…got lost looking for “Mackenzie-Childs in Aurora !!!” EAST AURORA WAS/IS…Amazing. We Are from Saint Louis, went to Niagra Falls, Cooperstown the summer of 2017… EAST AURORA WAS OUR FAVORITE DISCOVERY – never on the itinerary (first trip that we had with no plans on paper). Your story sounds like what we need to do. I have a lot to catch-up listening to do. Been trying to find a podcast that I can listen to without being distracted by all the hosts heckling back and forth. Thank you for being here. I love what I’ve heard so far. God bless you both.

    • MJ- Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! W’re so glad you enjoyed your trip to East Aurora…even if it was accidental! We LOVE it so much here, but sometimes it helps to hear how much others enjoy it too. We admit, we’re a little biased. So, a funny thing that relates to your experience… We had a friend come visit us from Texas who is a huge Mackenzie-Childs fan, too. She couldn’t wait to visit the store, thinking, like you that of course East Aurora must be part of Aurora! To make matters worse, Vanessa was telling her all about the Mackenzie-Childs merchandise she saw. Well, we thought the Four Honey Bees Cottage (which sells all sorts of Mackenzie-Childs merchandise) was what our friend was hoping to visit! Not being too smart on Mackenzie-Childs, like you and our friend, made the same mistake. If you are ever planning a trip back out this way, be sure to let us know! Thank you again for dropping us this note and we hope you enjoy the back catalog of the show – Dan & Vanessa
