This page contains the resources that we’ve have found useful in our personal and professional life. Admittedly, it is an eclectic list. It contains everything from quotes and books that I like to podcasts, videos, and slideshows.
If you don’t want to scroll through the entire list, you can click on one of the links below and filter the resources by specific category.
We’ll will update this list as we discover new resources. If you have a resource you think we should add, please email us.
I’ve mentioned a few times on the show that I really (really) like tiny houses. While we’re not at the point of downsizing THAT much yet, someday I’d like to live in a tiny house. I’ve lived for well over a year and a half in tents, with the longest stretch for around six months. I also lived in a 8′ x 20′ shipping container inside a warehouse for about 7 months in 2004-2005 and Vanessa lived in one (with a roommate) for 4 months in 2004. Still, she’s not on board yet with the tiny house idea. So, I’ll have to keep working that angle…
In the mean time, enjoy this beautiful tiny house by the Oregon Cottage Company. I love the Japanese inflence and it reminds me of the little apartment I lived in called Coop Sunpia in Sonda, Okinawa-shi, in Okinawa, Japan. Of course, my apartment was almost four times this size!
Vanessa was recently asked to provide some tips on the SpareFoot.com blog on how to get organized in your new home. Although spring and summer are peak moving seasons, Vanessa along with a couple of other professional organizers provide some useful tips that will come in handy not just when you’re moving, but where you’re living right now!
I saw this on (go figure) Google+ this morning and knew I had to share it. It was originally shared by Denis Labelle, so hats off to him! If you’re a Google+ fan, or looking to get started with it, this a great resource. Everything in one place…simple!
Simple Life Together listener and fellow simplicity blogger Sheryl Balthrop from SimpleLifeReboot.com was the subject of a recent story in Oregon’s Register Guard. Have a look!
Plus, if you haven’t read any of Sheryl’s or Dave’s posts on the Simple Life Reboot blog, then your missing out! Drop in and tell them we sent you (and say “Hi” for us)!
