SLT077: Simple Answers to Listener Questions

It’s been a while since our last episode and many of you said you wanted an update. So, we posted on the Simple Life Together Facebook page and the Edit & Forget It Facebook Group and asked for your questions.

Since we’re in the thick of the Holiday season, many of you had holiday simplicity related questions. Others were looking for lifestyle answers for their questions, and many just wanted to know what we’ve been up to. Well…we sat down for over an hour last night and just kinda “freestyled” it. Read More…

Update on Vanessa’s S.I.M.P.L.E. Organizing System Course

Vanessa launched her S.I.M.P.L.E. Organizing System course to a small list of people and it went really well! That said, we’re not really happy with how the course is currently hosted on an external site.

The content is proven and system works, but we’re just not happy with any platforms we’ve tried. They’re too expensive and seem clunky. So we’re considering just making the course an “in your Inbox” course, so people don’t have to log into an outside website, remember another log in, hope the site isn’t slow, etc. People are comfortable in their Inbox. They go there every day. And it would lower the cost of the course dramatically. So I’m working hard on that, to bring Vanessa’s amazing system to more people in a simpler way.

If you want to be in the loop with Vanessa’s course, the S.I.M.P.L.E. Organizing System, you can sign up for updates at GetOrganizedSOS.com and you’ll be the first to know when things are ready to go!

  1. It was so great to hear your voices & I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR THEM AGAIN : ) Congratulations on your puppies! We are still in “transition” so it was very meaningful to hear that mentioned. I am trusting that the lessons on the other side of this will be great. Have a joyous Christmas & Happy 2016!!!!!

    • Thanks so much Sandra!!!! It felt great to be back behind the microphone. Someday we would LOVE to have all our listeners over for a campfire in our backyard to exchange stories and get to know one another!!!

      Happy New Year!!!

  2. Love the update! Just what I needed to hear during this hectic holiday season. I also feel better that I’m not crazy lazy for not being able to get into a consistent exercise routine, it’s hard! I feel your pain Dan. And I’m curious, how many square feet is your current apartment? No judgement, just curious! I feel the same way about tiny houses.

  3. Love the update guys! Perfect to listen to during this hectic holiday season! How many square feet is your current apartment? No judgement, just curious… I feel the same way about tiny houses! Also I feel your pain with the walking Dan. I get it. Happy holidays!!

  4. Thanks for the update! Was great to hear you guys again and what you’ve been up to. Best wishes with your house build and coming move 🙂

  5. I’ve been eagerly awaiting your posts/podcast and wondering how you are finding East Aurora. I guess you haven’t experienced the Winter snow, as yet. Rest assured, it’s coming! I have found your podcasts refreshing, down to earth reports in a sometimes crazy world.

I trust you continue to report your journey through life.

    • Thanks, Paul! Well, we don’t arrive “full time” in East Aurora until June of 2016, but we can’t wait! Until then, we’ll work with our builder to get our bungalow completed and plan our business’s move. We’re going to have a short visit there soon and are looking forward to the snow, though.

Yes, we’ll be “reporting in” from time-to-time. We’re thinking of doing another blog about the design, build, experience of the new home, too. We’ll probably share some of that on future shows, too. Thanks so much for checking in Paul!

  6. Such a timely episode! Now that the new year started, it feels like the perfect time to simplify and de-clutter 🙂 While the holiday season is over, I feel like you can really use these tips for going over your things in general.

  7. A couple of months ago I found your podcast. I’m a Dutch listener and somehow found your podcast when looking for minimalism. I started with Episode 77 and after that 76. I really enjoyed the tips on leading a simpeler life and the great sense humor, so I decided to listen to all your episodes starting with episode 1. Now I’m at episode 70. I hope you find the time soon to pick up the microphone again and inspire us with episode 78.

    • Thanks so much, Paul! Glad you found us. We’re getting settled into our new town and hopefully will start recording again soon!
